Second training and Fourth PPT meeting
Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (Portugal) will host 2nd training and 4th project-partner meeting between July 18th and July 23rd in the frame of Erasmus+ CBHE project “MechaUz- modernization of mechatronics and robotics in Bachelor degree in Uzbekistan through innovative ideas and digital technologies”.
On 18th of July, the meeting started with a welcome speech of Carlos Rodrigues, president of IPVC. He stated that the cooperation of European and Uzbek universities in the frame of this project will provide great opportunities for developing sustainable networking even at the period when the project activities are finished.
The meeting was followed by the performance of Duarte Alves, professor of IPVC who expressed her confidence in a productive pace of the project activities. Representatives of IPVC prepared quite a broad agenda of activities which includes discussion of key issues related to the project, trainings for teachers and engineers and also cultural events.
In the Second half of the meeting day Dr. Vytautas Bučinskas from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University presented information finalizing the procedure of development of the new BSc programme in mechatronics and robotics.
Later, Javlonbek Rakhmatillaev provided a very useful presentation about the current status of Work Packages of the project. It was highlighted that the training in Viana do Castelo will allow to increase the pace of fulfillment of work packages related to the development.
Also, a lot of attention was paid to the accreditation and certification progress of new progress in the field of mechatronics. Utkir Khamdamov, professor of TUIT (Uzbekistan) made a very useful speech regarding the detailed procedure that Uzbek HEI have to follow in order to successfully accredit the degree programmes.
At the end of the meeting, every Uzbek HEI presented information regarding the established i-Labs. According to the presentations, all HEI performed quite well in the development of laboratories in the frame of the project.
